Erath County District Clerk Public Service Announcement Regarding COVID-19

District Court Seal

In an abundance of caution and in keeping with the recommendations of the CDC and the Texas Office of Court Administration, the Erath County District Clerk’s office is taking precautionary measures to reduce potential exposure to our staff and our local community members through participation and cooperation with public social distancing measures.

Our office doors will temporarily be closed to the public effective March 18, 2020

Until further notice, all nonessential and nonemergency functions of the office, including the acceptance of passports, are closed effective immediately.

We will continue to work and will provide the usual and customary clerk functions and processes related to emergency court order and will issue any necessary warrants and writs as directed by the 266th District Court.

We will continue to process court filings through the Texas eFile system and will continue to answer phone calls, emails, and requests received through the U.S. Mail during regular business hours.

We understand that these changes may present temporary hardships for some, and we appreciate your patience. We will do our best to work with each of you to meet your needs, as we are able, on a case-by-case basis, using the currently available technology and resources.

For further information, please contact District Clerk, Wanda Greer at (254 )965-1486 or at
